On December 6, 2024, 140 enthusiastic museum volunteers gathered at the Hong Kong Museum of History for a special workshop organized by the Conservation Office.

The workshop included an introduction to our exciting work projects, research programmes, traditional yet innovative conservation techniques and the latest development of the Conservation Office. Participants, in particular, enjoyed the interactive games and hands-on demonstrations, learning the best practices for treating, packing, and handling of fragile artefacts.

The volunteers posed insightful and thought-provoking questions, showcasing their deep interest and extraordinary perspectives. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with knowledge and heartfelt sharing. Thanks to everyone who joined us! We look forward to seeing you in future events.
