Between 1986 and 2016, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware hosted ten "Tea Ware by Hong Kong Potters" competitions and exhibitions. We encouraged active participation of ceramic art enthusiasts, aiming to inject modern elements and new vitality into tea ware by displaying practical and original ceramic tea vessels, so as to promote public interest in ceramic art and tea culture.

This exhibition showcases works by local artists which we have selectively acquired from the "Tea Ware by Hong Kong Potters" exhibitions. They represent a wide spectrum of themes, including nature inspired works, everyday life delights and simplistic geometric designs. We hope to take this opportunity to review the evolution of the art of ceramic tea ware in Hong Kong and share its fruit of success with all participants and those who appreciate ceramic art.
