The Conservation Office is dedicated to preserving cultural heritage for future generations. To bring these invaluable treasures closer to the public, we strive to foster community engagement and raise awareness of the importance of conservation. This year, we are delighted to continue our Roving Exhibition to various locations across Hong Kong, and we warmly invite you to explore the art and science behind conservation.

 

Highlights of the Exhibition

The exhibition features informative panels that offer an engaging introduction to conservation principles, the tools and technologies used in research and analysis, and the stories behind four selected case studies. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the two core approaches to conservation, preventive and interventive, and learn more about the work of conservators, as well as their vital roles and mission.

 

In addition, the exhibition introduces common pests found in Hong Kong and shares practical pest management tips for use at home, encouraging visitors to incorporate preventive care into daily life. You will also have the opportunity to preview our Hong Kong Conservation Repository (CORE) currently under development, and to explore the future of conservation while discovering the diverse career opportunities in the field.
